Company overview

A specialist in Design and Excavation of Hard Rock.

SAN Constructions is a specialist provider of hard rock blasting and drilling services for mining, road construction, and infrastructure development, with a focus on safety, precision, and environmental compliance. Since 2018, we've grown into a trusted name in Sri Lanka's highway controlled blasting industry, built on technical excellence and operational reliability.

We offer tailor-made blasting solutions that reduce cost, improve efficiency, and protect structural integrity — from quarry development and open-pit mining to highway cuttings, tunneling, and urban demolition. Every blast is planned to minimize ground vibration, fly rock, and noise, keeping disruption to nearby communities and ecosystems to a minimum.

Mission

To deliver safe, precise, and efficient hard rock excavation and blasting solutions, using cutting-edge technology and expert knowledge — while upholding the highest standards of safety, environmental care, and client satisfaction.

Vision

To be the most trusted name in hard rock excavation and blasting, setting new standards in safety, innovation, and reliability.

Core services

Six disciplines, one crew.

From first borehole to final fragment, we plan and execute the full blasting cycle in-house.

01

Controlled Rock Blasting

Precision-based fragmentation for civil engineering, mining, and infrastructure work near sensitive structures or protected zones — engineered with electric detonators and high-precision drilling equipment.

04

Chemical Blasting

Non-explosive rock and concrete breaking using expansive chemical agents — silent, vibration-free, and license-free, ideal near buildings, pipelines, and heritage sites.

05

Trenching & Road Cutting

Controlled excavation through hard rock for access routes, utility trenching, and roadbeds in mountainous terrain — with narrow, precision-planned cut blasts.

06

Pile Hacking

Professional pile hacking ensuring clean cut-off levels and exposed reinforcement for high-integrity structural connections, executed to strict safety standards.

Signature technique

The grid comes first. The break follows.

Every controlled blast starts as a plan on paper: a grid of boreholes, spaced and sequenced to guide the fracture exactly where it's needed. It's the difference between rubble and a rock face you can build against.

PRE-SPLIT

A fracture plane is created to stop rock breakage beyond the design limit.

SMOOTH

Contour blasting produces a clean final wall with minimal overbreak.

LINE DRILL

Closely spaced holes guide the blast and protect adjacent rock.

BUFFER

Lighter charges near sensitive zones reduce impact on nearby structures.
